Clody's One Eye Golf Scramble 2005

The team from Clody's One Eye Golf Scramble made their tenth visit to the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department of Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. Clody and his committee presented a check for $11,000 representing the proceeds from their latest event.  This is actually the thirteenth Clody's One Eye Golf Scramble, and the tenth supporting the efforts of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Riley Hospital.  During the past ten years this unique event has raised more than $90,000 for children's eye care.  It all started through the efforts of Terry Clodfelter who himself is "one eyed" as a result of a childhood accident which caused him to lose most of the sight in one eye.  A genuine humanitarian spirit and a loyal band of friends inspired Terry Clodfelter to create the only golf tournament of its kind in the world.  Funds from this event have made it possible for local children to receive surgical care at Riley Hospital, for the purchase of advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment for the clinic, and for the diagnosis and treatment of children with eye disease in far corners of the world even including a child from Kabul Afghanistan.  Our hats off to this generous group of Hoosiers.
